Liive Camera Privacy & Use
Liive destination cameras are designed to provide wide scenic views of public places, including waterfronts, streets, landmarks, gathering areas and other destination views.
Our goal is to help people experience a place — not to monitor individual people.
Video & audio
Liive's operating standard is video-only streaming. Audio is intended to be disabled at the camera source so conversations are not intentionally captured or broadcast.
Scenic views, not individual tracking
Liive cameras may move between approved scenic views.
They are not intended to:
- follow or track individual people
- intentionally zoom in on specific pedestrians, visitors or guests
- look into homes, hotel rooms, restrooms, changing areas or other places where privacy is reasonably expected
- focus on private activity rather than the destination itself
People may occasionally appear in a live view simply because they are present in a public place.
Commercial use of people
Liive does not intentionally single out a recognizable person from a live camera feed and use that person as the focus of an advertisement, endorsement or promotional campaign without appropriate permission.
General scenic views may include people who are incidentally present in public areas.
Camera hosts & locations
Liive works with participating property owners and camera hosts to position cameras toward appropriate scenic and public views.
Camera installations are subject to property-owner authorization and applicable federal, state and local requirements.
Privacy questions or concerns
If you believe a Liive camera is improperly aimed or you have a privacy concern about a live view, please contact us.
When possible, include:
- the camera or location
- approximate date and time
- a brief description of the concern
We will review the issue promptly.
This policy describes Liive's camera-operating standards across the Liive network and may be updated as the network expands.
